Event - Macmillan Coffee Morning

26 September 2014

Organised by one of the school’s teaching assistants, Mrs Hitchings, parents and pupils were asked to join in this morning to help raise money for this very good cause.

Parents came along to the coffee morning in the school hall for a chat and a cake, and our pupils all purchased cakes at break time (we thought breaking our healthy eating rule for a very good cause was ok).

It's Macmillan's biggest fundraising event, where people are asked across the UK to hold a coffee morning and raise money for people living with cancer. Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face.

And as treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives. The money we raise at our coffee morning will help make sure no one has to face cancer alone, from the moment they’re diagnosed, through treatment and beyond. A huge thank you to all the staff, parents and pupils who baked, ate and purchased cakes for us today.

So far we have managed to raise £247.04 with a little more to come later. Well done everyone.
