Event - Year 3 and 4 at the British Museum

28 January 2013

On Monday the 28th January Year 3 and 4 went to the British Museum to look at the Ancient Egyptian exhibit. First we looked at the marvellous mummies, some of them were still in their coffins. There was even a computer simulation where we could perform a virtual autopsy on a mummy.

We saw models of the sphinx which had the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh. Some of the walls were completely covered in hieroglyphics.

We all had a very good day and all that we were able to see and research is helping us with our topic work.
