Event - Safe as Tudor Houses

10 January 2012

For this topic Year 2 visited Spon Street in Coventry. During our visit, which we travelled by bus, we looked closely at the materials that were used to build the Tudor houses.

When we returned to school, we did lots of exciting work about the Great Fire of London, like ICT to create images, collage work in art, researched lots of facts in history and burnt paper buildings to see just how quickly the fire spread throughout the streets of London.

Taking a close look at some Tudor buildings.

Inspecting the materials which were used to make the buildings.

Wine bottles were melted down to make panes of glass.

Another good example of a Tudor building.
