Event - Year 1 at Coventry's Motor Museum

20 May 2015

Year 1 used local transport to go to the Coventry Motor Museum. 38 pupils and adults bought family tickets and enjoyed a ride on the number 57 bus. Everyone who saw us on the bus smiled and seemed really pleased to see us sharing the bus.

The visit was arranged as part of the science topic. While we were at the museum the children saw lots of different bikes, we were certainly all fascinated by the penny farthing and wondered how on earth people were able to get on it? By 1895 bicycle manufacture was the city's most important industry.

As well as the bikes there were of course- lots of cars from all through the ages. The Jaguar display was particularly sumptuous and exciting to look at.
