Event - Year 6 at the Herbert Art Gallery

4 June 2015

On the 4th of June, Year 6 went to the Herbert Art Gallery to learn about sculpting and landscapes. First, our tour guide, Amy showed us paintings of landscapes by famous painters. We then had a go at drawing our own versions of the pictures.

We tried hard to include perspective in our drawings. Despite the fact it was very hard, we persevered and ended up with beautiful pieces of artwork.

In the afternoon we looked at some sculptures and then made some of our own using clay. We learnt lots of new skills and had a great day.
